Claimant says:
"Multiple lies about completing a website for me that I could maintain myself and didn't do that and when its finished I said Id pay him but he didn't give me my data files so I could have a complete website. Now hes holding my site and I cant get it."

  • Just to clarify, did you have a written contract for this transaction? You stated in your claim that you would pay him, did you do so, and he is still refusing to turn over your website? If you haven’t paid him (it’s not very clear from the claim whether or not you actually paid him for his services), then not releasing a website to you would be appropriate. However, if you did pay, and did not receive what you requested for services, holding your website from you would be an obvious issue with your contract. Perhaps here, writing a letter to the owner of the company indicating that there seems to be some form of misunderstanding will assist you with your claim. If you have paid for the website, indicate that you have paid for the site and have not received what you paid for. If you haven’t paid for the services, perhaps proposing a new arrangement, such as release of the site to you and the data files in exchange for the amount agreed upon.
