Claimant says:
"My wife made a yearly subscription to the magazine " Practical Horseman " few years ago with Automatic renewal. The annual subscription for 12 issues is very low, $19.95.
On October 26th, 2016, our bank paid a check in the amount of $59.90, to the order of
Gold medal subscriber services.
And then another one , identical amount etc, but dated December 12th, 2016.
In the memo portion of the check it said Practical Horseman 866-329-8296.
The checks are not our original checks , with different sequential numbers, and instead of a signature it shows: This draft authorized by your depositor- No signature required.
I called my bank, City Bank, questioning why they would honor a fake check without a signature, and they said they could not do a thing about it as long as the account number was showing on the check was correct..
Then I called Practical Horseman and they told me they had nothing to do with this issue, and gave me the name of " the clearing house " located in Florida who paid them. I called them at 800 913-7064 and talked to a Debbie, who told me that these payments were going to last for another 8 years ! but that it was not their doing , but rather the agent whom they service and they gave me his number which I called at 954 446-4084. Frank answered the phone and He introduced himself as a representative for LCI Marketing services. Without any hesitation when I asked him what was this whole mess about, he offered to return the amounts charged so far and stop any further withdrawals. I am writing you this letter to help other people who, unlike me , do not take the time to fight such scams. Please look into it. This is dirty.
