Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I ordered an arched light that was supposed to sit flush to the wall. Upon delivery by the store's deliverymen the said light needed to be put out so many feet from the wall because of the size of the arch which was not indicated to me by the interior designer who showed it to me as a choice in my decision to make a purchase of said arched light. Under the knowledge given and drawn by said interior designer the light was shown up against the wall. After the deliverymen (who were very cordial and professional) set up the said light the light started moving or jarring up and down when it was in a stationary position. The deliverymen looked at me and basically before I even said this has got to go started taking the light apart the product mainly because they were afraid it was going to cause an accident and they would be blamed for it. At that point they called the shop and whoever they talked to said yes return it to the shop. At that point I wanted my money returned because I was sold merchandise that did NOT meet what I was told the standards it was to meet and that was to sit flush with the wall. According to the manager who quote clarified in an email saved per evidence "Unsafe Light" would not return my money for the light. I had already spent close to $10,000.00 on a sofa, 2 chairs, and a custom-made table. Perhaps just 6 months prior spent another $2,000.00 on kitchen chairs. She infers that I am only entitled to a store credit even though her interior designer showed and helped me choose a product that was drawn and sold to the customer that would fit up against the wall. I am entitled to full reimbursement of my money for the light, because of the reasons listed above. The manager Daniella Sanchez is being very unreasonable plus so unprofessional in the way she is treating the matter. She should only be so gracious after all the money I have spent at her store to give back the money due to the customer. Thank you for taking the time to to make sure yet that another Customer is treated fairly."
