Claimant says:
"They quoted one price over the phone and then charged me $150 dollars more when the work was done. All the while the work was been done Big Jim was telling me, my wife, and a friend that if the seat needed to be adjusted, I could just come back. When I went back, Big Jim had an attitude and asked me for more money to fix the problem. Finally when Big Jim made good on his promise, he took a short cut by putting the padding on top of my leather seat cover exposed to the weather. When I questioned Big Jim about my concerns, he said there was nothing he could do and hung up the phone on me."

  • Big Jim didn't speak to me on the phone, I spoke to his son. So how does Big Jim know what was said on the phone. I told Big Jim son (little Jim) the make and model of my motorcycle and what I wanted done. The second cover was a sheep skin cover and the cover slips on and off in-seconds. I sould have been told that there would be an additional charge is I came back for an adjustment. Just don't tell me to come if anything needs to be adjusted, making it sound like he stands by his work.

  • I disagree with the explanation / grounds provided

    "When Joe called on the phone we gave him a price to adjust his seat. When he came in he wanted his seat adjusted and the passenger seat adjusted. He had another cover on his seat which had to be removed and then reinstalled on ntop nof he leather cover. When he asked if the seat could be adjusted I said sure, I didn't say I would remove two covers and add 1 inch of foam to the entire seat after spending hours to make them BOTH happy, for nothing.
    I will bend over backwards for anyone to make them happy, I did take his cover off and add 1 inch of foam to the entire seat for nothing. Big Jim"
