Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I made a substantail Business Investment with Pet Corner International based entirely on the information that they provided to me. The information given to me was far from what materialized. That aside their products made my dog and other dogs throw up. Retailers were very upset with what the customers were saying about their experiences and some Retailers threw away the products before contacting me. How can I grow a new business or sell such products in good faith? I can't. I won't so I have asked several times for them to take back my territory and refund me my investment. They have not agreed to do so.

Pet Corner International is sophisticated in their presentations and how they answer any concerns. They tell me about other peoples experiences etc but never address mine. They down play any and all problems and try to make me feel that any problem is 'mine' or due to my short comings/failure. I would have never invested in their "Business Opportunity" had I been given the real facts and figures and any idea that the products could make so many dogs throw up!

Since Pet Corner International is not a Franchise they are not obligated to provide as much formal Disclosure as a Franchise so beware of any company that does not have to provide you with a formal disclosure. Also beware of any company that will not provide you easy access to all of their distributors etc. It is my understanding though that this does not give a company the right to deceive or to provide fraudulent miss information.

I was only provided two people to contact for references and one of them turned out to be the same guy that they sent out to place my products. So isn't that a conflict of interest? He did not disclose that he was also used frequently (or always?) to set up the Distributors. I paid him close to $4,000.00 to set up my accounts. I was promised he would do this and then introduce me to the Retailers. Instead it was my time, my car, my gas, my research and mostly my sales skills and four weeks of my time that was utilized. I could go on and on but the final nightmare was the products themselves. By the way, my second "reference" told me how much she loved the business but then after my money was in she would never return my calls again. Why is that?


Pet Corner International failed to tell me that some dogs do get sick after ingesting the products until after my money was in their pockets and I informed them of my discovery. Once my money was in Pet Corners hands the whole Buisness opportunity took a serious and very bad turn. I will be contacting more sources across the states so that others are not taken advantage of. I have spoken to others who have had the same or similar problems and saw complaints posted on line but not until after September 2011. My money was in their pockets by then."

  • Just received your letter 2/13 stating we did not respond to this complaint. That is patently incorrect, we responded initially and then added additional information on a second submission. Can you please contact me directly as there clearly is a problem with this service.
