Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"After reading an ad in the local news paper, I saw an HP computer (10GBmemory,2TBhard drive) listed for $499.99. I went to the local store to purchase it. I was told that there was a misprint, and that they didn't have that model. So purchased the model that they did have. But with my checking the news paper, that ad has been in the paper for four weeks, without a disclaimer. Now, after reading this Sundays newspaper 8/5/2012, the ad was in there again. So I called the store again and asked for and spoke to the store manager. He informed me that they would have to order the particular model that I wanted. But after returning to the store early this morning, and talking to a store employee, and was informed that I couldn't purchase the model that the store manager had informed me that I could buy. All I want is the model number that I want, at no extra charge. I would like an even exchange for the one that I just purchased for the one listed in the paper. Please can you help me, before it gets too late. Joseph H. Steele"

  • Aug 17, 2012, Claiming party added:
  • After getting home with the new computer that I had purchased, I knowest that not all of the data had been transfered to the new computer. Again I returned to the store and ask why this had happened. I was informed that I had some corrupt data, and it wouldn't transfere. So I asked for some money back, and was informed that the deal was already complete, and nothing could be done.
