L.S. vs. Mission Hospital

The hospital billed almost $12,000, I was pressured into excessive overpriced testing and billed for an out of network doctor, $1198 for the 5 minutes the doctor spend with me. I’ve contacted the hospital numerous times to ask for explanations but have received no response except for a contact information and treat of delinquency and bad credit.

Claimant says:
"I had a fall on March 20th and the following evening, at the urging of my family I went to Mission hospital to be see by a doctor, since it was after hours. My brief ER visit resulted resulted in almost $12,000 in Billings. I have Blue Shield of California insurance but in spite of $920! monthly premiums, I’m still left with almost $4000 out of pocket due. I’ve tried both calling and writing the hospital numerous but have been refused arbitration. I’ve asked the billing office to place my account on hold until we can resolve my concerns but yesterday after speaking with ‘Erik’ I was told that they will Bill me 4 times and then my credit would be damaged. ‘"
