Claimant says:
"In september of 2014 i was ill in hospital and a rep from medscourse oxygen co. came in my room and told me they would supply my home oxygen when i was discharged. A few days later i was discharged and on that date they did bring me my required oxygen. About 6 months ago, everything got changed. I am on medicare disability, am 63 years old, and have allot of medicial issues needing oxygen is one of them. They did supply me with a home main unit and they also supply me with portable tanks. The problem is the protable tanks. They (MEDSCOURSE) was since day one delivering me every 2 weeks on Tuesday whatever amount of portable tanks i needed. Then 3 months ago they changed their rule to delivery 1x a month, 30 tanks. Then it changed to 1x a month 19 tanks. Then 2 weeks ago it changed to 19 tanks for 3 months.. Their reason for all this I was told is that it costs the company too much money to pay a driver, wear and tear on the truck and the gas to come to elgin, which is a hour away from their location. During this course, they put me under mental and physical stress. In trying to speak with them that these arrangements will not work. This compay want to give me 19 tanks for 3 months. This means I can only go outsided about 6x a month. I have 3 doctors a month I see and need tanks to go on these appointments. So when do I get to go out to visit my children. This company is restricting me from recieving my oxygen needs, I have filed a complaint with medicare. Mediciare is who pays Medsourse for my oxygen. They are conducting an investigation with their FRAUD department. According to Medicare, Medscourse is my supplier and they are to supply me with whatever oxygen supplies I need. When I spoke to Medsourse to let them know of my needs, the manger July refused to comply, instead in a laughing tone she said that their is nothing I can do about this matter. On Feb. 19th Dawn, from Medicare and I spoke and she did a 3 way with Medsourse and they would not let her speak with July the manager. Also Medscourse is umbrelled under Rotech. So Dawn and I did another 3 way with Roteh and they were rude to her and also refused to connect her to July. So medicare is working on finding out why this company is not supplying me with my needs. I also callled another oxygen company and they were shocked with how Medsourse is treating me. I don't care how much gas and wear tear it creates on their trucks, they are suppose to make my life suitable for me to go out with oxygen. I hope now that Medicare is filing their complaint and with your complaint some action will be taked. I hope maybe a solution can come of this complaint. My end results is that I can recieve even 20 tanks every month. I will compromise with a monthyly deliver. Also they are billing Medicare for a monthy service and they do not deliver to me monthly. THIS IS FRAUD"
