"On January 21, 2016 my 2002 Ford Taurus was at McCleads service station being worked on, it was done and I was to pick it up the next day. At 6:15p.m. the police came to my door wanting to know where my car was, I told him at McCleads, he said no they had it over on Liberty st. Had I given anyone permission to drive it and I said No. At that time I said just call Rick and have him tow it back to the shop. Fifteen minutes later the police came back and told me he didnt think I would want it towed back there because the guy was an employee of there and Rick had said he did not give him permission to drive my car. The police took me to the car they had searched it and found drugs..meth and other things, two warrants against the driver and his drivers license had been suspened..
supplies to cook meth was found in the car. The police told me to take the car home, so I did and drove it to work and back that night. By the time I got to work I was sick. I worked as long as I could and had to go home early, I'm a nurse for special needs patients in their home. I missed the next night work from being sick. I felt bad with blood pressure for bout a week. Without my car because it had to be tested after meth in it and it tested positive. Had to be cleaned a certain way by certain people, if it can be cleaned. Rick McClead refuses to give my insurance company or myself his insurance info, he keeps changes his story and will not talk to my insurance. I have gotten another van,but the car is still sitting there in limbo, unresolved.I have a police report stateing everything and test results."

  • car wasn't being test driven, Rick McClead told police he did not give permission for anyone to drive it, he had the car from before three p.m. till after six when the police stopped him...HOW LONG WOULD A TEST DRIVE LAST anyway. The owner Linda Parker was driving when the car when towed and Rick was not the one who towed it originally. The car was not a mess as he stated. I never made arrangements to pick the car up at that time he stated I was going down in the morning when I got off work at 8am. When I finally meet Rick at the station he said he couldn't find anything wrong with the car when test drove it, and he admitted to me, which was common knowledge he himself has used drugs. I am a nurse so I have never done drugs because I never choose to and Im subject to random drug test for my job.

Message from Mcclead's Towing & Service: The vehicle was being test drove by a volunteer. The driver was stopped at his friends house. The police did show up for unrelated issues. The driver had a warrent for his arrest. He was then detained. The police did a vehicle inventory. They did find narcotics and paraphernalia in it. It was under the drivers seat. So my volunteer got charged for it. The car prior to me towing it in was driven by Mrs Parkers daughter. I do not allow any kind of drugs around my business. The owner of the things in the car has not been proven. The car was very dirty and very used looking inside when I originally picked the car up. I didn't search the vehicle for drugs when I towed it in. I'm not the police. I don't go threw my customers cars. I just repair , test drive and return them. Mrs parker stated she was going to pick her car up at 6:15 the nest day. We open at 8 am and close at 6 pm. No arrangements for her to pick the car up after hours was made.
