"They moved my belongings from new Jersey to Florida and I am missing many items (probably in a single box). I lost the copy of the list of boxes and bundles they picked up and asked for a photocopy of it. Although they told me they would, I never received it nor the missing items."

  • I did not receive 29 cartons. I told La Flor de Mayo the quantity I received. I counted them together with the driver and accepted them as being in good condition, which they were. As I said, I had lost my copy of the list of cartons they picked up. La Flor de Mayo never mailed me any copy. At least I never received it/them and kept saying so up to our last telephone contact.

The claimant's settlement terms were rejected with the following explanation:
  • I disagree with the explanation / grounds provided

    "Customer sent 29 cartons numbered from 041 thru 069 with other household goods. All 29 cartons were delivered per inventory. At destination customer signed contract as "All articles received in good condition" and signed inventory as "before signing check shipment, count items and describe loss or damage in space on the right above". He claims he is missing one carton but can't tell us what number. He claims he didn't have his copies and requested copies which we sent to his FL address. Note the 29 cartons were insured for $2,900.00 which means each carton is insured for $100.00."
