Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I bought a RCA 55" screen television in Jan. of 2014, I did have a warranty on the product, after 3 months the screen went black, I had to use my backup, then suddenly it came on again and worked, i thought the product was o.k. then after the warranty expired, it stopped working and never came back on, I respect RCA products and K mart, I have shopped there for years, I feel I was sold a referbushed T.V. set for $540.00, I called the store managed who stated he could not do anything for me, at least he could have given me a discount on another T. V., I feel like I was scammed, I have never bought a product from K mart and could not return it, I am stuck with a 55"piece of "JUNK" that I cannot do anything with, I will never shop for anything a K mart until this issue is solved"

    To Whom It May Concern:

    This letter serves to confirm that the complaint submitted to your company by the above-named consumer regarding receiving a refurbished tv from one of our Kmart stores, has been investigated.

    We have received Ms. Johnson’s complaint and escalated her concerns to Chaz Hall, Store General Manager of store# 3278. Mr. Hall states that Ms. Johnson is well past the refund and warranty dates as defined by our corporate standard. He has agreed to contact Ms. Johnson and suggest that she contact the manufacturer. Mr. Hall is willing to assist Ms. Johnson with her complaint. That being said, because we are in the process of assisting Ms. Johnson, we have closed our file.

    We apologize for any issues or frustrations that Ms. Hall may have experienced with Sears Holdings Corporation. We do value our customers and strive for their complete satisfaction including a reasonable resolution of any complaints whenever possible.
