Claimant says:
"Mr. Stackpoole asked me a front fee of 499.00 with a promise of trying to sell my timeshare or at least guarenteed rental of my time share points. He repeated so many times, just give him a chance, he will rent at least a week of my timeshare in less than a month. He said he has lot of customer looking for points timeshares to rent, that's why he was sure he can rented it in less than 3 months.

After he got the $499.00, January 19, 2012, I can't contact him, never returns my call, not a note or message, even an email. I called him March, twice in April, called him and left a message, No comunication whatsoever. I wrote him a letter Sept. 2012, no answer. He is the worst scammer on earth today.( I used visa credit card.)"

  • I was almost taken for a sum of $670 by John Stackpoole and his brother in law, Mark Buff. Thanks to this post I declined doing business with them...thank you very much for posting!   • I took a look at the website for the Attorney General of Florida, and unfortunately, they do advise against using brokers that ask for a fee up front for a timeshare sale or rental. Typically, a real estate agent would get their fees from a commission from the actual sale or successful rental. The Attorney General’s office does advise that anyone looking for more information can contact the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Florida Land Sales, Condominiums, and Mobile Homes, Bureau of Timeshares, which looks like they can potentially help you with a complaint about the company, and maybe assist in recovering this fee.
