Claimant says:
"I lent money to a friend who told me that they got kicked from their workplace (who was also paying for his accommodations) and was living on the streets. He had a plan to buy a bus ticket, come back home, work at his old job and pay back whoever helped him. I discussed with my boyfriend that this is an old friend and I didn't want them living on the streets. 
Friend ended up finding another job and taking my money... He has been very flaky with response times and any time he plans on paying me back, he disappears and I can't get ahold of him.
I am a student and need this money to be able to afford groceries, as I thought I would have been paid back by now... I lent him $25 for food and $375 for the bus ticket, totalling $400.00."

  • I forgot to add this to the claim, but I have history on when I tried to contact Jake... His workplace... his manager... to attempt to get ahold of him for negotiation. I also have an invoice and e-transfers (with blurbs stating it was to be paid back), and messages sent back and forth between us about the situation that happened, and payment plan etc. If proof is ever needed.

  • I will take down the claim when I receive the money. Unfortunately I had to do this as a last resort due to your recent behaviour of lack of communication and trying to run away from the money you owe me. As a student with hardly any income, this is not an amount of money I can joke about, or let go. So until then, this will become a public claim as of Nov 6.
