Claimant says:
"My complaint is based on the rude, condescending attitudes of the ER staff. I was treated like a typical alcoholic welfare case, in which I am neither. No one listened to my concerns with a new prescription of lexapro I had been placed on by my primary care physician and how it was altering my perception of things and causing hallucinations along with unusual behavioral changes. I don't drink frequently or even socially. My husband and I have two small children and drinking certainly is not a priority. Yet, when I stated how frightening and uncharacteristically different this was from my normal behavior I got rolling eyes and a scolding about how I know better than to drink with a medication of that sensitivity. I was then asked to provide a urine sample which sat on the table next to me forever. Finally, the nurse came in and said "oh, I forgot. " I sat there freezing for anoth two hours because he had also forgotten the blanket I asked for as well. At which point I asked for them to let me leave. I was given more attitude and a packet about alcohol abuse which was explained to me very condescendingly. Today, I received my bill. Granted my insurance has not been applied to it, the total is $4948.50. I am appalled by the behavior and failure to treat me without bias and to actually have listened to what was going on. This is disgraceful and unset."
