Claimant says:
"On 06/07/18 I delivered an oriental rug to the company's Moore Street location to have it measured and priced for cleaning. The rug was laid out and carefully measured, and the cost of cleaning it calculated. I paid the calculated cost for the cleaning. When the rug had been cleaned, it was delivered by Hadeed deliverymen to the residence on or about 07/17/18. The invoice now contained a balance due which my sister paid without questioning the new charge. I recently inquired into the matter and was told by Hadeed personnel that the original measurement was incorrect, and the additional charge applied. I think this is a very poor way of doing business, and think the public needs to know that Hadeed's measurements and calculations are subject to change without any prior notice to the customer. Since I observed the original measuring of the rug, I find it to be questionable that it was later determined by Hadeed to be incorrect. Maybe the fact that I declined to also engage Hadeed to perform a variety of additional services they tried to sell me had something to do with the measurement."
