Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Mr grisby, contractor, came to look at bathroom for converting present shower into a rool-in shower. while he was in the bathroom he noticed my comode was inoperative. He said he could fix it, without me ever asking him to. It turned out that he could not fix it. He said i needed another comode...Him and his son bought a new comode, installed it, and left a portion of the hole uncovered beneth the comode. He said that he would repair it in a few days. This happened about a week before Christmas of 2012. It is now March19, 2013.The comode is leaking water onto my floor and the hole under the comode is still uncovered. I paid him with a check for 600.00. I would like my money back due to an incomplete job as well as additional expences he caused. I feel that I was taken advantage of due to my disability."

  • I have done some research and cannot find a license for Grisby and Grisby Construction. You may want to contact Mr. Grisby and ask for a copy of his permit or license because in the state of Alabama, he needs a permit to perform plumbing work. If he cannot provide one to you, he may have performed work illegally and I would suggest that you contact the appropriate state authorities. Filing a formal complaint may help you recover your losses but also prevent someone else from falling victim to poor worksmanship. Here are a few links that may assist you:
