Claimant says:
"I had a slip and fall in their bathroom. The hotel staff treated it with ice and a bandage. I needed surgery once I got home and lost 3 months wages. They paid the medical bills for the first year it occured which was Novemeber of 2010. I hired a lawyer who agreed that I was most likly due sompensation but declinded to represent me his reason was that the court would give a % of fault to both me and the hotel and that I was partly at fault becasue I should have known it would be slippery or should have seen the water all not possible in my opinion. The shower was not built for saftey the door opend out into the bathroom and there was no lip or threshold and that left a space of about 1/2 to 3/4 inch on the bottom, there was a space between the sheets of glass that water escaped and there were multiple showerheads sprawing water in every direction including directly at one of the spaces. I am still in pain when I walk or especially use the stairs. I am not looking to gain a large amount of money just to recapture lost wages and to pay for future Luberaction injections that I will need every 2 years, untill I have the knee replaced. The hotel should not have treated it themselves and they have created a dangerous situation in their shower area. I have several co-workers that stayed at the same hotel same time and they wrote letters stating how slippery and poorly designed thier showers were. I am not able to participate in many of the activites I once did.
