Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I searched AcuVue One Day Lenses and up comes GlassesUSA.com's ad for $26.38 plus free shipping for a 90 day supply. I entered my prescription and ordered 2 boxes with a subtotal of $52.72 plus free shipping (with options for express shipping).
I could not go any further without entering my full name, address, and ALL of my credit card information. Once I tried to check out, to my shock the total was 93.96. In tiny letters at the top of the screen, GlassesUSA.com revealed that there is a whopping $20.60 "processing fee" for each box.
Chat was not available, likely because I'd entered a landline as my phone number and GlassesUSA.com wanted me to have to call on my cell phone.
I am absolutely sick of this highly deceptive advertising and naked attempt to capture customer information and wear them out so they order rather than waste more time. Worst case scenario and the customer eventually abandons the purchase (as I did) then they have information to sell aka "share," as revealed in their privacy policy.
GlassesUSA needs to provide totals BEFORE capturing customer information. "

    Report GlassesUSA to the FTC. This is just deceptive advertising and data collection and needs to be stopped. I wish more people would report this.
