Claimant says:
"I recently took 3 dogs to the vet for all shots and any test they may need. Everything was good, they told me 1 of my dogs needs to come back for a booster in 3 weeks. I paid the $75.00 in advance so my minor daughter could just come in and have the shots and leave. My total bill was $619.18, I paid it without batting an eye. They called me 2 days later and told me 1 of my dogs has heartworms, and asked me to bring the other 2 dogs in to be tested for heartworms. I asked if I could get an appointment right away. We agreed that I would bring the dog with heartworms in tomorrow morning @ & 7:30 am to start heartworm treatment. They told me I could have my minor daughter to bring the other 2 dogs in at 3:40 that day, I asked them not to say anything negative about the dog with heartworms and asked how much the was going to charge to check the 2 dogs for heartworms, they told me $80.00. I told them that I would pay the $80.00 the next morning when I drop the dog with heartworms off for treatment, my minor daughter was sad that her dog with heartworms could die and she did not need to worry about finance issues. They told me that they could not hold the bill, my daughter would have to pay the $80.00 bill at that time. I gave them $75.00 for future services and they could not hold an $80.00 bill overnight. In all reality minus the $75.00 I gave them in advance and the $80.00 for the test on there 2 dogs, I would have only owed them $5.00 and I was going to bring the heartwom dog in at 7:30 am the next day, I was told they would not test the other 2 dogs for heartworms unless my daughter paid them the $5.00 differance. This is poor business, I will no longer do business with them and feel they owe me an apology."
