Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I made a settlement payment and this is the second credit card company that I dealt with that after you settled the account, the balance should also be cleared but it is not. Yet they sold my account to two different agencies. Now the current company Northland Group Inc. is requesting 293.46 to settle a 465.80. I was on the impression that once you settle and make that payment its paid off. First Premier did not keep records on my last payment nor information on the settlement. They stated to me that it was charged off, but nothing on the settlement. Another agency to look into are the SST I also settled with them. Then another company is telling I owe them a balance for a Providian account. How does this settlement works and can the companies resale your account after you settled and paid it. Through moving I lost the documents and I thought that the companies would keep in my records what settled and paid for. I just want answers. If I owe I will pay but I want a true balance and the settlement information date and payment made before I will pay again."
