Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Around February 2014 i traded both my vehicles in for an 8 passenger Travese at drivers village. I made one payment on it then around end of march the motor and transmission blew in it. I had AAA tow it o drivers villag who at the time was close. I contacted them the next buisness day and explained to them what happened they were very nice and willing to help. we then got a phone call stating that they would fix it but it would cost us around $2000. We explained to them that we could in no way pay that amount of money nor would we for the fact we only owned it for a little over a month. Then we recieved a call from a sales manager telling us that they would take our car in for a trade on a new car which didn't happen. Now we have left many messages and nobody will call us back we have been in a loaner for two month."

  • To Whom It May Concern. We are very sorry that Desiree and Bo had trouble with the vehicle purchased form us. The car was sold with 110920 miles on it at the time when they purchased it. The sale date was 1/9/2014. There was no warrannty expressed or implied at the time of sale. In the state of NY when a vehicle has more than 100000 miles there is no warranty coverage. We offered extended warranty options at the time of purchase, to prevent problems like this, that Desiree and Bo declined to purchase. We check over all the vehicles that come in trade that we would like to retail and do our very best to make sure that they are in good working order. When we sell a vehicle of this nature, the customers are made aware of what we have done to the car and we suggest additional warranty options for purchase. When this car came into the service department on 4/18/14 we were able to determine that the engine had failed. We made every attempt to assist Desiree and Bo. Eventually we were able to locate a used engine and offered to split the cost of the repair. They declined. We were in constant contact with Bo regarding this matter. They were provided a loaner car for nearly six weeks that they wrecked in an accident. We are very sorry that Desiree and Bo are in this situation

  • Beau and I never declined the offer of paying half for a motor we were offered to pay $3500 on a used motor drivers village found and they would pay $3500 we told them we couldn't come up with that money. Then we were offered another price of paying $1700 ( they would pay $1700) for a different motor and I said if you offered first to pay $3500 then why can't drivers village buy the $3500 motor we were told by the sales manager that he would take it to corporate and get back to me he never did I called him and he told me because I made a complaint on people's claim its now in corporates hand and they would get back to me I excepted the offer of trying to come up with half which I tried Even though I don't think we should have to and was unable. But with all that has happened and the fact that it happened 2 months after we purchased the traverse it was towed into drivers village March 8th 2014 and yes we purchased it on 1/09/2014 so less then two month the motor blew in our vehicle . Yes they were nice to give us a loaner which I did scratch the side of it not wrecked it and I have all my ins paper work to prove the dates. So drivers village is refusing to help us after we purchased a vehicle from them and less then 2 months later it breaks down. To me it would not only be good business practice but their morals should tell them to fix our vehicle no matter how many miles it had on it they should want to help us. We have learned a valuable lesson on purchasing our first vehicle from drivers village and telling our story and listening to others that have had problems with drivers village. we just want them to put a motor in our vehicle and make us their customers satisfied. I never thought it would be almost 3 months later that we are still fighting for our vehicle to be fixed.

  • We just want our traverse which can fit all six of our children in we just believe it would be driver's villages goal to satisfy their customers and what is $3500 to a multi billion dollar company. But I guess what they offered is how they see fit to satisfy their customer.
