The claimant's settlement terms were rejected with the following explanation:
  • I disagree with the explanation / grounds provided

    "The reason for rejection is becuase we have supporting documentation that Mr. Litras is not entitled to a refund of his deposit. (Note he signed a credit card authorization form that clearly says non-refundable and only good for in store credit) Furthermore we are in possession of emails and voicemails from him stating that he is willing to walk away from the purchase lossing his deposit. We even offered to extend the purchase of this vehicle if he needed more time to close but he refused. He claims that he had to talk to his wife about it and she wasn't happy after commiting to the sale and he is trying to get his money back. When on the other hand I have several emails form him stating that him and wife are excited about the purchase and they are going to the bank to send of the wire because it can't be done by internet. I find it amazing that someone is willing to write an email telling us to keep the $5k instead of selling him the car and he makes this type of claim. "
