This is very unfair for a 69 year old woman who worked 35 years as a Licensed Registered Dietitian not to be able to get the benefits from any store if you have their credit card Identity theft doesn't allow you the ability to get any credit card. I worded 12 hour days, 6 days a week and for three years I worked 5 jobs just to keep my kids in private school. I even offered to give Sears the cash for a new stove and refrigerator if they would give me a credit card. They said "NO", so I bought the products elsewhere. Their loss.

All of our equipment is required to be mailed to our warehouse. We do not have authorized local stores that you can return equipment to. Taking the receivers back the dealer that was in the shopping center was not the correct action to take. Our system automatically sends you a pre-paid shipping label that included instructions on how to ship these to our warehouse. If the local dealer store you took the equipment to did not send it to our warehouse, the equipment is seen as not being returned. Local retail dealers are only authorized to sale our services and are not DIRECTV employees. We do not have the option to adjust the non-return fee as you did not return the equipment in the correct manner as indicated by the terms of our Customer Agreement (www.directv.com/legal).Thank you, RebeccaDIRECTV Customer Service
In florida I was sent to a store in the shopping center nearby. I stood in line with over 25 individuals. They also had a policeman stationed at the door so check with the police department for any off time duty by a police man. I was never sent any instructions about mailing, that would have been easier, they told me where they had set up a sit for receiving returned boxes. That is what I did.
"Make sure when you return your boxes that they give you written documentation of your return."
