Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"My account was supposed to be closed but I had a call from directv saying that I owed them $319.00. I had never received an invoiced since the account was closed but they told me that the account was never closed that it was put on hold, and since it was put back in service 6 months ago now I owe these amount.
Of course I got upset I told them I was not going to pay for a service I never used.
Now I was looking my bank account And there is a $319.00 deducted from my account plus a $79.76 service fee from directv. I thought only the IRS could fo this but this is my situation. I have not call directv about my complaint but if I do I know I will not do it right. Please help."

    We can certainly look over this situation for you to answer any questions regarding the charges on your account. From the information you mentioned it sounds that you requested to suspend your account. This is only temporary and the reactivation date is set on the account at the time it is requested. Notices about this process is sent out automatically through our systems to the contact information listed on the account. We also send out another notice when the account is about to reactivate to help avoid situation like this. I am very sorry if any misunderstandings occurred.

    If the account remained active for to long after this occurred, it would be disconnected for non-payment. Under the terms of the DIRECTV Customer Agreement, when your DIRECTV service is cancelled, all outstanding charges are billed to the method of payment we currently have on file. The Customer Agreement is available online at directv.com/agreements.
