Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I have had direct tv at this location for approx. 2 years and have made my payments regularly. However in April of this year they sent me a past due bill for $597.51 I called DIRECT TV for the reason for the charges he told me at first it was for not returning there equipment from my previous address then he said it was for service at that address. this is over 2 years ago and as far as I can recall I returned all there material even there remotes. and I know I had paid all my bills with them. I moved to Oregon for approx. 6 months and when I returned I set up a new account with them there was no mention of any past due accounts until now. I have cancelled my service with them and they keep calling early in the morning late at night I answer the phone say hello 2 or 3 times and there's no one there.I mailed them a check for $173.00 what I think I owe. however if I pay the remainder I want to know if I can recoup this in small claims court because I don't feel I owe this bill and I don't want my credit score harmed. can you please help me resolve this problem."
