Claimant says:
"I was told in Aug. 2013 that my annual maintenance fees would be due in May. I have not received any bills concerning the maintenance fees. Last evening, my husband received a call from Conrad Acceptance and I returned the call today. I was told that my account was placed in collections for failure to pay the maintenance fee which they say was due in January. I explained to Lindsley that my fee wasn't due until May. She said READ YOUR CONTRACT. The rep that sold me my timeshare deceived me about a few things. Instead of the fee being $434, it is $548.02 and now that it is with Conrad Collections, they state I now owe $746.00. I explained that I have an annuity set up this timeshare and if I don't pay the fees, I will forfeit the annuity. There is no wayI WOULD HAVE NOT PAID THE FEE. She refused to yield. If I was notified, I would have questioned the due date but would have paid because of the annuity. I have my maintenance fee pymt, however Conrad Acceptance Company will not accept my fee without the additional $250. Plus collection fee. I was scam at the presentation and know I am being held up."
