Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I opened an account with Conn's in May 2011. I bought three flat screen television. I qualified for financing through Conn's finance company called GE Money. Two weeks ago I went up to Conn's and bought wireless desktop computer. I told the salesperson Rusty to charge this purchase to my account, which is what I thought he did. About a week later I received some mail from Conn's. Inside the letter was a payment book to make my payments through the store. I went up to Conn's and asked the lady behind the customer desk why I received a payment book when I have an account with them through their finance company. I was told that was they way they do business and that gemoney was not part of Conn's. I called gemoney and told them what happened. The person from GeMoney told me that I was told wrong. I have an active account with Conn's finance company of $3000 credit limit and have $2400 available. I am suppose to be able to charge anything from Conn's as long as I don't go over safely $2700. I believe Conn's opened me up an account through the store so they can charge a finance charge. I never told the sales person Rusty to open me another account through Conn's. I already have an account with Conn's, why would I open another account with them when I already have a line of credit with them of $3000."
