Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On March 14 I received a called from a Representative of CONNS about my husband's acct. being due on the 11th, I told her I was aware of it and that I will be making the payment on Fri. March 16 at the store. She told me that she can take a payment over the phone with my checking account information that they had in their system and I told her " no thank you". Well on March 19 I was checking my checking account and noticed that CONNS had debited my account for the amount of $187.03 and also the payment that I made at the store. So I got double charged and for that it caused my account to be in the negative and got three NSF charges. I contacted CONNS about that and spoke to Paulina Manager in Account Payable and told me to fax her my documents that show the double charge and the NSF charges. I did everything she told me and I have been calling them to check on the status since then and didn't get anywhere until my husband called them and spoke to a gentle men name Cody. Keep in mind this has being going on since March 19 and on May 1st we received a check for the amount of $184.03 but then my husband called again to ask about the NSF charges and they are always telling him that Cody is out to lunch or in a meeting and that they will relay the message to call my husband. Well he has not called back this is bad customer service and customer satisfaction from this company. Then my husband talked to another gentleman named Mingo and he said " That he will take care of it" but no call back on the status of that. I also have dates and names when I have called on several occasions. So CONNS debited my account without authorization and I believe this is against the law."
