Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I purchased several appliances on a one year "No Interest" agreement. For the first several months I paid my bill in the store. My schedule changed and i began paying on line. Several times while paying on line the system would malfuction. I would put the 1st in and once the process was complete the system would show a different date. I contacted Conns credit about this problem and the agent informed me they were aware of the problem with the on-line payment system. On another occassion I paid on line and the system charged me twice. I contacted the credit department once i realized the problem. The agent assured me that the additional charge would be reversed immediately. Both charges cleared through my bank and caused other items to return. When I informed Conns they asked me to send them proof by faxing my bank statement. I had the bank send a copy. Conns then stated they would review the information and make a decision.
I called Conns a week later and the informed me they would not make the adjustment. At this time I was still on cash option. I began calling every other week asking for a balance. I was informed that i was no longer on cash option because of missed payments and late payments. I explained to the agent I had never missed a payment and only late because of the glitch in Conns on-line problems.
On several occasions i asked to speak with a supervisor. Each time I explained my case and the supervisor said i would be re-instated to cash option. Each month I would call several weeks before the payment was due and ask what my pay-off amount was. The agent would inform me "they see no notes or messages where i was placed back on cash option. I could not ever get an accurate balance, the agent never knew anything about the supervisor placing me back on cash option. I continued to pay each month while i tried to communicate to credit about my problem.
I feel Conns credit has acted unprofessional and deceptive. Because of this behavior I am asking Conns to place me back on cash option, and then give me the pay-off  amount on both account.
Sincerely,
Lisa Lang"
