Claimant says:
"My husband went to the office on Hawthorne Blvd in Torrance to change the name on our Roadrunner internet account from mine, Karen Barcklay, to his(Curtis Barcklay). A gentleman helped him personally in the office(agent only listed as "f-48") told him that could not be done, and that they would have to cancel the original that was in MY name, and open a new one in the name of Curtis. THEY NEVER ADVISED THAT WHEN THIS WAS DONE, WE WOULD LOSE BOTH OUR OTHER EMAIL ACCOUNTS AND ALL THE INFO IN THEM!!! When I tried to get into my account that afternoon, it said that my account was suspended and to call an 888 number. I spoke in chat session before they took my customer services away also, and the young lady said that she could not let me into my emails, and I would have to call customer service 800 number. My husband called them on the 800 number and talked two separate times and got the same response."They should have advised you that you would not longer be able to access your emails from the previous account." This is outrageous! It was in MY NAME. I was never contacted by email or any other method prior to the closing. I had Tax info in there, and business info, and client contacts, and personal email addresses for family and friends! It is just a nightmare for me trying to contact all my debtors and businesses I dealt with by email, to let them know. Time Warner SAYS they have deleted it from the servers. It was gone the same afternoon. This was within an hour of suspension! That is absurd and ridiculous, and I do not believe them! This happened on Saturday, January 4th, in the afternoon. The T/W office is located at 19780 Hawthorne Blvd. Since then, I have tried 3 times to file a complaint with the BBB, and three times have gotten an error message that a problem occurred and to try again later. That in itself is suspicious to me. I have been a customer of theirs for years. I was never alerted. The account was in MY NAME. It should never have been changed canceled or otherwise without my sole permission. I will be pursuing this till it is addressed by Time Warner/Roadrunner."
