Claimant says:
"They shorted me on ridge vent. Their sales person, Brian Mullen, bid the job, Jan. 21, 2016. At that time we discussed the extent of the job. At that time I made it clear that I wanted the same amount of ridge vent as was there, with one exception. I did not want ridge vent installed on the over hang. At that time he, Mr. Mullen, quoted me a price of 8,175.00. I wrote a check for 4,000.00 dollars.
That was about half the total amount. It was a down payment to buy materials. I agreed and a couple a weeks later, they installed the roof. It was about the time when we started getting heavy rains in our area. The agreement was that all roof vents and caps were to be replaced in kind. They were, with one exception. The one they put on the water heater vent was to large and the stormy weather we were getting at the time, blew the cap off the vent pipe allowing rain to enter the vent of my water heater. The water damaged the ceiling in my garage and damaged the thermo couple, rendering my water heater useless. I had to buy and install a new 50 gal water heater. That cost me 410.00 dollars. I only want what was agreed to and the replacement cost of my water heater. To date, Mr. Mullen has only given me empty promises. Over 6 months later, and still no resolution to the problem. Mr. Mullen is an employee of Braun,s Roofing. The company should turn this problem over to his insurance company.and get this settled. Mr. Braun is untouchable. He leaves all problem fixing to his office employees. And that's not good customer service. This company does not have good customer service. I want the 45 feet of ridge vent installed and replacement cost of my hot water heater.

  • Mr. Mullen came to my home to put the ridge vent on. When asked if he brought enough to complete the job, he said no. No offer was made or discussed about my water heater at that time. When he told me that he wasn't prepared at that time to finish the job, I asked him to leave. Mr. Braun has not contacted me about this mater and I don't believe he will. Office personnel seemingly shields him from these problems.
