Claimant says:
"WE BOUGHT A NEW HOME FROM MR. BRANSON FOUR YEARS AGO. WE HAVE HAD TWO PROBLEMS IN THE LAST THREE MONTHS. THE FIRST ONE WAS WATER IN OUR GARAGE. WE HAD TO HAVE A S A PLUMBING COME OUT AS IT WAS UNDER THE SLAB. THEY HAD TO CHISEL A HOLE TO GET TO THE PIPE. THERE WAS A PIN HOLE IN THE PIPE. YESTERDAY MARCH 7, WE HAD WATER APPEAR BY THE GUEST BATH ROOM. AGAIN WE HAD TO CALL A S A PLUMBING OUT AND THEY HAD TO CUT A BIG HOLE IN THE WALL OF THE GUEST BEDROOM. HAD TO DIG OUT CEMENT WITH THE SAME CHISEL EFFECT AND FOUND ANOTHER PIN HOLE IN THE WATER PIPE. THE FIRST COST IN THE GARAGE WAS $350.00 AND THIS ONE IN THE HOUSE COST $450.00. WE NOW HAVE A LOT OF WET CARPET. WE PAID $60.00 TO HAVE THEM VACUUM IT UP. ADAMS CARPET CLEANING, SAID THE PAD WILL ROT. OUR INSURANCE WILL NOT PAY. WE THINK BRANSON HOMES USED CHEAP OR OLD PIPE IN OUR HOME. WE CAN'T AFFORD NEW CARPET, WHICH WE WILL NEED. PLEASE HELP US. DUANE ODNEAL"

  • The home in question is indeed out of the one year warranty we provide. We did not manufacture or select the pipe used in the home. The pipe was provided by the plumbing company. We have been more than willing to work with Diana, going so far as to purchase her a new refridgerator when she failed to measure the one she had purchased for her home. We did this out of pocket, charging her nothing. We are a family business that is respected by the community. We do charity events like building and donating a new house to a family that had lost theirs in a fire. We do not do shotty work or swindle our customers. This claim is obviously filed by someone looking to get more free product from us. She states in her claim she is out $860, but is asking for $3,002.99. The cost to replace the carpet pad is $2.00 a sq yard. Carpet is not ruined by water and does not need replacing. We are sorry to hear that there have been recent problems in the house but these are the costs of upkeeping a house over 4 years old and we are in no way responsible for any charges incurred.
