"Dear Sirs, I was totally mis-guided and lied to back on the weekend of June 21,22 & 23 2011 from the Barrett -Jackson Co. with their auto auction held at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa Ca.They took Total Advantage of myself which I am 100% physically disabled and have been since 2005,I have Severe Back and upper Torso Pain So Bad I can barely walk sometimes .I was promised "The World per se from my rep "John Cook " from the company when my good friend and myself drove my truck and trailer-ed my absolute Last Professionally frame off restored (Rare) 1979 AMC JEEP CJ5 Golden Eagle that took right at one year to complete with thousands of hard earned dollars and hundreds of literally Painstaking hours in it to complete it for the Costa Mesa/Orange CO. Fairground auction on that 3rd weekend of June ,2011.
I was promised by several people including John Cook that the factory beautiful JEEP would Absolutely,positively easily bring Great Money in access of $22,000 to 25,000.
Oh by the way I not only drove nearly 4000 miles out there to CA. but the entire deal cost my wife and I over $6000 in entry fees, fuel, lodging, food and shipping on our Visa card ,which we still owe all of it to! This whole Ordeal has been a TOTAL NIGHTMARE that I cannot wake up out of ..My entire Financial structure has and will NEVER be the same since this has happened to us!
I have contacted Barrett-Jackson over and over concerning this matter with absolutely NO luck what so ever, that must be why they are so Financially Strong and hard working and worst yet ...disabled people like myself do not have a leg to stand on against a large Monster Company like Barrett-Jackson.
Well in closing ....I Demand Total Restitution from their company from being totally Mislead and lied to, or I just will not pay my Visa Card !
And being on Total Disability and only receiving back then only $1735.00 per month ,well lets just say it makes life A LOT of a Challenge to survive financially..
I bought that JEEP nearly 20 years ago before I had injured myself plus I received lots of well needed help from my good friends or I would of never been able to finish it at all!
Plus the main reason we drove all the way out to CA.was what Barrett-Jackson totally promised me and then when the hammer came down I almost had a Panic attack that beautiful ,perfect JEEP only brought ...HA....... $12,000 ,my God I had, as mentioned, over $18,000 in the machine.
All they would of had to say was that they really do not think it will bring that kind of money that I was asking for it,and I just should of put it on eBay instead....but NO ,,,they wanted that ...$1000.00 Entry Fee along with a bunch of odds and ends in other funds from me..Well needless to say my wife and I are Still Struggling from that USELESS RIP OFF ORDEAL almost a year ago know!
I feel they need to FULLY Reimburse me on Total False pretenses, promising me that kind of money for that JEEP and it only ended up bringing only about half of what it should have brought!! PLEASE Help us out with this Claim, we are really hurting financially !
Like I said why in the world would we drive ALL the way out to California if I didn't think I would have gotten that big Money they all promised me!!...I have worked with eBay many times,heck I would of just saved thousands of dollars and just placed an ad/auction on good ole eBay and I probably would of gotten between $16,000 $ $18,000 out of that beautiful JEEP!
I also have dozens and dozens of images of that jeep, if you all need to see it all completed...
