Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On May 27, 2013, my daughter had a flight (flight number Y4XXNA ticket number 2577204800853) at 4:00pm. We arrived at Austrian Airlines at 2:27pm (have parking ticket as proof) when we found out that the Registration desk was closed. People arrived after us and they were able to get to that flight.
I asked Ms. Tamara Simic (583831) for the manager and/or supervisor, Soltawa Amel did not even give us a chance to explain, she ran away from us. I then asked for her manager, Mr. Kamal K. Sumrein, and he said that he remembered my daughter having a reservation and to come on Wednesday, May 29, 2013. I asked Mr. Sumrein to check if they have available seats, he informed they did. I asked him if I had to pay, he replied, no that they airlines don’t charge for changing dates.
On Wednesday, May 29, 2013, Tamara Simic couldn’t recognize us even after it being only two days. The more I had to remind her of our conversation; she finally did remember us and offered us no help. It was my impression that she seemed to enjoy the kind of predicament that we were in from the smile on her face. When I asked for her name she was hiding her name tag. When Kamal Sumrein came in and told me a totally different story that the one he told me two days ago and claimed that my recollection of our previous conversation was untrue. While I was waiting for some time, another family arrived and Sumerin starting talking to that family in their language. I was given some excuse of the system being shut down. Ms. Tamara Simic was standing there the whole time enjoying the situation and not once trying to help me so my daughter can get her flight.
If these are the kinds of people that you feel represent Austrian Airlines it is a wonder that you are still in business. I realize I sometimes I may be hard to understand but no one tried to help me or my family, we were only treated with contempt and unprofessionalism. The above mentioned need to be schooled in proper customer service techniques as we are in a world were word of mouth is an excellent way to bring in business, if someone was to ask my thoughts on Austrian Airlines I would have to tell people to find another airline. I ultimately picked one of your competitors and purchased a ticket with them since I received no help from your airline.
