"My complaint is with American Laser Skincare In Berkeley, CA. On 7/3/104 I contracted with their skin care specialist Victoria Morales for 8 laster skin removals to cover the abdomen, navel, the check, the arms all around the hands, under airs and basically the waist up. I also contracted 6 sessions of silk peel far and neck. The total due was $2830 but they were running discounts that ay so the discount ambled was $1684.55 for a new due of $1145.45. I received a statement every month but it was not clear how much I owed. I called American Later customer services and they told me if I could make advance payments I would avoid interest charges. They in fact deceived me if you look at the bank attachment fromWells Fargo where the bank shows I made total payments of $1,542.61. I believe the sales rep knew the company was going out of business and deceived me on the phone to thy to bring in as much revenue as possible before they went belly up. American Laser makes comes mention on their website that they would find an alternative provider to complete the prepaid services. I have called American Laser every day for the past week and they never returned my calls. I am not interested in continuing with laser hair removal since their first 2 treatment I had were so ineffective I had to complain to the corporate office. The Clinic Manager Kayla Walthall promised me "Marc, I will not let you leave you leave here unsatisfied". Since the only 2 laser treatments I received are completely useless I expect full refund of the price I already paid $1542.61 Thank you, marcparuta@gmail.com"

  • The contact name I gave you at American Laser in Berkeley was for Victoria Morales. It's possible Victoria was terminated on Nov 14th when the clinics closed. Could you please fid someone at American Laser Skin Care who is still working and responsible for resolving claims for prepaid services that were never performed. American Lasers says on their voicemail that they will find alternative providers to perform the prepaid services that clients never received. Thank you, marcparuta@gmail.com

  • I prepaid $1542.61 for 8 laser hair removals and 6 skin neck chemical treatments and all I received was 2 laser hair removals that are so poly done I had to call American Laser ski care corporate headquarters and let them know their treatments were ineffective. They referred my to the Berkeley Clinic Manager Kayla Walthall who said , "Marc I promise you I will not let you leave here unsatisfied" Now I find out all the clinics are closed and I have no idea who will will provide the prepaid services I never received. American Laser says on their website that they will provide alternative service providers to perform the prepaid services. I have called them every day since November and they have never responded.     The current status of my claim against American Laser Skin Care is unresolved. In fact I just received a statement from Comenity Bank 1-866-610-5312 which I attached to this e-mail showing I prepaid $1,603.72 for services at their clinic. This is a bit bit than my original claim with PeopleClaim.com because it did not include my most recent prepayment. Add in the $7.99 and $24.99 I paid to Peopleclaim.com , the total due me is $1636.70. I called Comenity Bank today who does the banking for American Laser (see attachment) and they told me by phone that I would be receiving a letter from them in 7 to 10 days by which I could dispute my claims against American Laser. Comenity Bank however, could not conform however that I would be reimbursed by American Laser only that I could file a claim. American Laser engaged in fraudulent business practices getting customer to prepay for packages in order to get a "discount" while they were secretly going bankrupt. The closed all clinics on Nov 11 with no notice to customers. I feel I was deliberately misled but American Laser's fraudulent businesses practices.
