Claimant says:
"American Express is in my view loansharking and preying on the gullibility of their clients, including my mother and myself. My issue with American Express is about their "check spending availability feature of American Express. This feature is not with any other credit card. My mother is the primary on the card and we had the American Express Simply Cash for Business Card. Our issue was with the check spending availability feature and we used it in good faith. We were even hesitant at first. I even contacted American Express about the feature and they cancelled our account without warning. We then were able to make payments until they incrementally jacked them up to over $1000 per month. They then threatened collections when we have been willing to work with them. We were willing to work with them and we had a financial problem in January and February. I tried to explain that to them and they made us use auto pay, causing our accounts to go into the negative. Thus now we are unable to pay and they want to take it to an outside agency.
