Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I hired American Catastrophe restoration to rehab my building because it was burned, I gave them 10,000.00 to clean it up and 40,000.00 to start the work, this company was supposed to give me 50% of the building completed. He asked me for 30,000.00 more, I asked Cory Meister the owner of the company if he had 50% of the building done. He started screaming like a lunatic, he said that he ran out of money and that I had to give him the 30,000.00 if I wanted the building completed. I told him I needed to verify the work and if he did not have 50% of the building done I was not going to give him more money. He said he was going to stop the work if I did not give him the money, he did stop the work and my building is not 50% done. Then he told me that I owe him 10,000.00 because he did extra work on the roof, I was told that he put about 10 new bricks, so he is charging about 1,000.00 per brick, I told him he was out of his mind if he thought I was going to pay that much money for a few bricks. He did not like that, I told him that he is doing fraud because he takes the money and he doesn't finish the work. He said that he was going to put a lean on the property if I did not pay him the 10,000.00. I told him I was going to put a complaint againts his company.
What I want is my money back, i was told that he expended about 20,000.00 on the material and the work that was done is about 10%, that he could not have expended more than that. I want my 30,000.00 back to complete the work and to hire someone else. Now, I am told it would be more money if I hire a different company and it will take more time to finish it.

Thank you for all your assistance,"

  • I want my money back as I specified on my original complaint, they already admitted that they did not finish even 1/2 of my property and they don't even have the decency to admit that they are a fraud. They lie to people and I know per fact that I am not the first one that they have stolen money I have proof that this company has had many complaints of fraud and some how they are still operating. I want my $30,000.00 back and I want this record to go public. I want people to know what this company is doing, American Castastrophe Restoration Inc. is managed by this fraudulent person (Cory Meister) if we add everything they said they expended and the material they bought they owe me more of what I am asking of my money back. They think that because they bought a few poles and about 10 bricks I am going to pay the like they were building they white house? Then, they are out of their mind! I will be crazy if I continue working with a company that is committing fraud by stealing peoples money and not doing the work. I hate excuses and specially liars and frauds, I don't have time for their crap. American Catastrophe Restoratin Inc has already wasted so much of my time and I want a solution now. I don't want to hear any more of their excuses.
