Claimant says:
"Doctor Alvin Shuster made me partial denture that cost to me $432.00 plus
medical insurance paid $432.00. I tried to use it for one week and had
inflamation in the mouth. I returned this denture to doctor, but doctor refused
fully compensate for it. He send me only $249.50 and rest leave to himself.
On the check that he send to me doctor wrote a note that he will withhold
$187.00 for lab cost. I think that is his problem. Beside, witholding another
$432.00, that insurance paid, deprive me to use insurance money
if I would like make same denture by another doctor.

  • Due to HIPPA confidentiality, I cannot release patient client information pertaining to this patient's dental issues. However, there is nothing wrong with Mr. Becker's appliance. As a courtesy and with the support of his insurance company, he was refunded his payment minus the lab cost that was incurred. This was agreed upon by him and confirmed by his insurance company. This can be verified by contacting Ms. Ana Rodriguez at Dental Benefit Providers at 714-513-6394. After accepting these terms and receiving his refund, he then reneged on his agreement. If he agrees, I will authorize the insurance company to enable Mr. Becker to use his $432.00 that the insurance company paid to be utilized for another appliance to be fabricated elsewhere but that will not remedy the other dental problems he referenced. After he complained to his insurance company and after reviewing the information, his insurance company supports my documentation and that can be verified.
