Statement of Claim
"After meeting with sales rep/principal-Rick Turley, my wife and I gave him a 1,000.00 check as a deposit on a $28,000 solar and hot water install. This system, and its purchase was based on us getting financing, which he assured us would be simple and easy to do. It was not. We went to three different places and were not able to obtain financing. This was one year ago, May 12, 2015.
We have called and spoken with Rick asking for our money back based on the fact we couldn't obtain financing as he assured us we would. "PLEASE return our deposit we asked him over and over.
He has declined to respond.
We are very upset that a supposedly legitimate business can dupe the public in this way and want to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. I mean, why wouldn't he just return our money? He did no work except to write an estimate. My wife is a school teacher who just lost her job. We need our money back!"

If the contract stated the deposit is non-refundable then they are entitled to keep the $1,000. If not, then they should return it. If the salesman verbally promised, it really depends on the contract still.
