Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I switched insurance companies on July 24, 2012 and on July 27, 2012 I called Allstate insurance to cancel my policy and this was not done. July 28, 2012 I got an email saying Allstate was going to take money out of my personal checking account. I was out of town so I could not receive my emails. On August 13, 2012 I called Allstate Ins again to verify the cancellation and talked to Mary at 801-426-5666. She said it was not done. I am furious now because they say I needed 3 days notice to cancel my policy which should have been done already. On August 14, 2012 I get another email saying the money is expected to come out of my account on August 16, 2012. I am more furious. I called Allstate back and talked to Steve. He says the policy was cancelled yesterday so I asked why they still sending me emails, he says it takes 3 days to cancel the transaction to my bank account. Now on August 16, 2012 my bank account is debited $100.78 and now it is August 22, 2012. My money has not been refunded back to me. I talked to Mary again at Allstate Ins and she says they have to wait until the money cleared the bank, it was an automatic deposit it should not take long to get back. She says it will be refunded on September 13, 2012, a whole month later. I have bills that need to be paid. I do not recommend anyone using this company again."
