Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Alliant property Mgmt of Ft. Myers Fl. with the blessings of the EBT board of directors hired Servpro to servise  estero beach and tennis club, 3 buildings . My condo was in a building that had almost no water intrusion , the only noticeable dampness was a small area about 3 x2 square feet by the a/c unit.
I spoke to the management companies rep. and I spoke to the servpro contact person on site, I was told that they were not going into my bulding due to lack off moisture. I have sent photos to Aliant management so that they can see that there is a false moisture reading .
Ultimately Servpro billed $1492.04 for removing two small pieces of base moilding ,about a foot long, labor for that was $600 . The rest of the charges  they claim were to dry the place.
I went back after they were gone and replaced the two pieces of base moilding and took a reading and again it showed moiture aroung the a/c unit. I belive that  this is due the wall material not moisture. I have called evevryone that has been mentioned and all I get is the run around.
I would like for the association along with Aliant to back me up and explaine to Servpro that it is not permissible for them to take advantage of condo owners simply because thay can, specially when we just experienced a catastrophe. Price gouging should never be permited and turning a blind eye to it, is just as reprehensible.

  • Dixie spoke to owner Jorge Montesino last week about his invoice from Servpro for the dry out that the board held an emergency board meeting and hired Servpro to dry out all units after hurricane Irma at EBTC. She stated you needed to contact your insurance in regard to the invoice which included the detail of service provide by ServPro to his unit.

    this request needs to be submitted to the board of directors of Estero Beach and Tennis Club. The Association Board voted to hire Servpro. If you have not sent a letter to the Board requesting a refund we will forward your request to the Board.
