Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On April 14, 2011, I purchased a brand new Lennox air pump to provide heating and cooling to my rental home. For the past six to seven months the unit has failed to work. Numerous reapirs have been made by the company to no avail. The unit will work for a short period of time and then cease to work thereafter. I spent 5,228 dollars on this unit in addition to almost two hundred dollars on an electrician per AC warehouse's request in an attempt to resolve this issue. As of today, January 9, 2012, my air pump is not working at all. My tenats go to bed freezing cold at night. I have no hope of getting my home sold. The likelihood of my tenant renewing their lease is quite bleak. I am totally dissatisfied with AC warehouse's response to my problem and their inabilty to provide me with a functionable air pump. I want my money back."

  • Denise Ellis, your request for $5,630.99 is unfair. This system has been installed since April of 2011 and after reviewing all the events and history of the Lennox Heat Pump system our findings are: The drier vent coming from the house is blowing onto the condenser coil not allowing the system to breath properly. This causes the system to draw more amps to the condenser fan motor having it to malfunction over heat and not work. More amps to the system also caused the defrost board in the condenser to overheat and malfunction also causing it to be replaced. Also as a result the disconnect box outside also had to be replaced by an electrician because the wires were burnt. This was all a chain reaction that was caused by the drier vent not the operations of the Lennox system that we have had excellent results with. With all this being said we also modified the duct work in the house for better air flow to maximize efficiency for your renter. I feel we have done more than what is fair to keep you and your renter happy. In retrospect we could have easily voided the warranty to all issues but feel to keep the peace and not dispute causing discomfort to you our your renter it was best to just cover it under the 1st year warranty so there would be no charge to you or the renter.
    I hope now you will see that we have always had your best interest in mind.
