Extra warranty coverage is just another profit center for most companies in my opinion; if they made decent products in the first place no consumer would consider it. In my view it's better to take the money you would spend on warranties and put it in a separate account to "self-insure."
But with regards to your specific problem, I suggest you attach clear photos of the bubbles right here and add the name of the furniture brand. Consumers can then weigh in on whether they believe that's an acceptable defect or not .
I notice that Risk Assurance Partners has rejected the claim without adding a reason for doing so. That certainly seems to jive with what you said; they aren't even willing to look at the defect. If it isn't covered, they should say so and add the applicable part of the warranty.
