Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On Tuesday August 24, 2010 25th Street Auto Sales, Inc. repossessed my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee without warning or a phone call. I have an agreement to pay them $170 bi-weekly based on my pay dates. Earlier this year I advised Karrola I would make all my payments once a month to manage my money better but in May of this year I ran behind and the office person Karrola called me to say that they would repo my car. I told her that I just had to spend $800 in April on the car and she said to come in and pay on it and as long as I kept paying I would be fine. I came in on 6/05/10 paid $350 and July 7/17/10 $510 to date I have paid $6665 on a $7650.64 on my buy here pay here loan. I feel that I have been scammed because they were accepting and expecting my lump sum payments my second pay check of the month. The owner refuses to talk to me as usual. When I talk to Karrola she said that I hadn't made a payment since June and all my late fees in effect made me due 6/30/10. This was the firs I heard of me owing fees it was never bought up when I came in the office to make my cash only payments. I was never even counseled on being late. Nothing was ever said to me as far as fees or anything. I was just told to start making payments again and that is what I did. I made Karrola fully aware that I would not be able to double payments but she encouraged me to just come in to make more payments. The owner does not even permit Karrola to know pay off amounts I tried to contact the owner when I had to miss my payments he refused to talk to or see me than and now. But they still accepted my payments. In short I want my car back they waited until I was almost done paying my car off to take it from me meanwhile I didn't even get so much as a phone call the week they came and got it. I have all of my original receipts to prove my payment history and no late fees added to my bill."
