Claimant says:
"On January 31, I went on Craigslist searching to buy a puppy in Las Vegas(local). The site took me to Lanny's website. She was selling a puppy for $400.00. We communicated via text only. She agreed with me that if I sent $200, that she would send puppy to me via a company called "United Pet Movers". We also agreed that I can send the balance of $200 by 2/28/17. On 2/1/17 I sent $200 via Western Union to "Curtis Balloch" at 450 Mason Dr, Cleveland OH 44111. Ph number 440-368-8230. The confirmation number with Western Union is 430-969-2201. I was told by Western Union that Mr.Ballach picked up the money on 2/2/17 around 10:30am. I texted Lanny back asking time what the dog was to arrive at my home and that I needed a phone number from "United Pet Movers" . the phone number I was given was 614-620-0724. I called the number and no one answered. I received a call from that number 10min later. The person on the other end sounded like a foreigner. I was told that the puppy was being checked by the Vet to make sure he is healthy enough to travel. I felt at that moment that this was a scam. I asked to speak to the vet but no one came to the phone after waiting five minutes so I hung up I then texted Lanny to let her know I feel that I was scammed. She insisted I wasn't and I will have my puppy by early evening. I received an email from United Pet Movers, Stating that due to weather conditions in OH I would have to purchase another crate for $350-500 in order for them to send dog. Prior to call this, I told Lanny that I do not have extra money at this time. I told Lanny and Pet movers that I know in my heart I was scammed and they never responded or called me back to say they were not! I have kept all correspondence from both parties."
