Claimant says:
"Southern Trust repaired my sewer line from house to street the trench 17' or 18' deep. The city had to come out for the solution to my problem; was on the city side. The city repaired their part responsibly. The city did what was necessary to cover up after completing their work. When they completed their part, I was told that the city hauled off too much dirt. Then Southern Trust were able to complete their work. They covered the trench which they said it was trampled in by the excavater and smoothed over, then they put down seed and straw. The straw in certain places was much higher than other. Now four week later, the places close to my rockwall of my house has settled 18 to 20 inches give or take one or two inches. When contacted Southern Trust (Roger) was whom I talk with said that they couldn't controlled the settling of the soil Which is very true; however, in most professional environment the company or person will heap enough soil over trench to care of the settling, therefore there will be no big hole in the residence yard."
