Claimant says:
"I was involved in a chemical spill that involved roundup. in the coming years I was told that I had a good chance of getting asthma later in life which I did, plus my chances of my lungs healing where about 50-50 from the chemical burn that incurred. a few years later I was coughing , shortness of breathe , have heaviness on my chest plus found out I had MAC disease . all this from my lungs not healing from the burn. I have lost wages from time I miss from work due to illness and medical bills that I am not able to pay plus other bills that have fallen behind due to lost time at work.

Additional information: 6/18/17

I was unloading a southeastern feight lines truck and when I started I smelled something and the driver thought it was a water tested canoe but futher into the truck we found out it was a pallet of roundup. that was appox. 45-60 mins. into the unloading. after breathing the fumes I had a raw throat and had issues with my breathing. I went to the comp. doctor and found out the my lung here burnt along with my throat . after 2yrs of seeing the doctors I was told that I had a 50 -50 chance of healing . I also have the chance of getting asthma which I did and I also got MAC disease which is from my lungs not heeling completely. I have to take 3 different antibiotics for the rest of my life to be sure I don't die from this disease!"

  • due to the injury and after effects of this i am not able to get long term or short term disability insurance. this is wrong on the insurance companies seeing how you can't discriminate against people with illnesses !

    i wish someone would step forward and resolve this case so other people with the same issues can feel better about our system. i have lost my job due to this and need help in this matter in getting this issue resoled. my breathing is no better and need cat scans twice a year along with blood test and breathing test. i have no insurance since loosing my job and the cost of going to doctor is high along with the cost of test and meds. i would like to see help with this in any way possible to resolve this matter. i have lost wages this year of 12k along with everything from last year of 17k. if you feel you can help feel free to contact me via e-mail or phone. if i don't answer the phone please leave a message and i will return your call shortly. due to unwanted call from car warranty and student loans etc. i don't answer the phone unless i know the number. thanks for your consideration randy sellers.

    it's sad that nobody will take this case due to illness and not cancer. need to find a good person to take care of this matter.

  • Can you add some details about the chemical spill? Was that work-related? 

    Glyphosate is certainly toxic and can cause lung damage. Hope you can find a good advocate.
