Claimant's opinion: Zumbrunn is a cheat and a snake. As I was residing in Texas, and told by my title company I needed probate services, I became involved with Victorville's own, Greg Zumbrunn, from his web page. Zumbrunn DID NOTHING; KEPT HALF OF RETAINER WITH NO ACCOUNTING FOR INE MINUTE OF WORK. I asked for representation in probate court and got REPROBATE theft for my trouble. As part of an escrow process, I had been informed by Chicago Title in Victorville that an unimproved property for sale required a minor probate action to connect the lot to a family trust. Based on his web page, I called Zumbrunn's office (Wednesday, June 4, 2014). A free 30 minute consolation was scheduled for the next Friday, (June 13). I engaged Zumbrunn to represent me. He required $1250 retainer, said it would take 30 days. When that period came and went, I contacted his office to be told by assistant that Zumbrunn had "been out of the office due to family concerns". At the 40 day mark, the title company emailed me to say that the property for sale WAS indeed covered by the trust, NO PROBATE NEEDED. After a few days, I was asked by the title company to send a proof of death. Since that had been sent to Zumbrunn at the beginning, I asked his office to sent the document to the agent at Chicago. Subsequently, the sale was completed within a week. I had begun requesting for the return of the unused retainer. Again, weeks went by before any reply, which was that "it can't be returned before the 15th of next month". Aug 15th came and went...then the 19th. Finally, a check for $613.35 was received. ZUMBRUNN'S office did this--DELIVERED A DEATH CERTIFICATE to the title company just down the street. During the consultation call on the telephone, Zumbrunn's style of communication was caustic, overbearing and belittling. I was totally off-put. Following the call, I turned to another professional (Tax consultant) that "my attorney was a real a--hole. But, maybe that was a sign that he was a good attorney." It was a sign that he was a real a--hole.
"Due to attorney-client privilege, I am unable to respond to the complaint other than to indicate that the facts are not as stated in the complaint."

PeopleClaim is a new way to resolve disputes online without lawyers or mediators. By inviting suggestions from the public, disputing parties get ideas that can lead to settlement – and the person(s) who contributed them can win a reward.
Here's what to do: Read the case (left side of page). Then go to the bottom of the page and enter your suggestion in the space provided. Click the Solution button.
Your suggestion will be sent to both parties and will post on the claim. If the two sides agree to settle based on your suggestion, you're eligible to win. Note: Cash rewards may be split among more than one person if settlement depends on ideas from more than one contributor. If you have a claim of your own to resolve, click here.
