Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I moved from Ca to Lawrenceville, Ga. I contracted Chris Hancock to install wood fencing in my back yard. After I purchased this home I had the inside work done on the home. I gave Chris Hancock a deposit check for $1600.00 for the installation on the fence.Five weeks after moving in My house and basement flooded and carpet, flooring and drywall had to be torn out at my expense. I also had a couple more major issues with the house. I called Chris and explained what happened. He said no problem he would install at any time for me. By summer of 2016 I found out the yard would need major ground work to even have the fence put in. Called Chris again and asked to cancel job and for him to return my deposit. He told me he would msail it to me and he did not. I made so many calls to him and he wiould not call me. My son had worked with him and he tryed for weeks to get him to call. Finally a supervisor from a company Chris had worked for called and got him on the phone. My son tryed to get him to pay me in full or make payments or put the fence in and I would pay the remaining balance. He told my son he would call me and work out the detail. I have NEVER heard from him. I have spent months trying to find out information on him and Wood Wonders

Message from Wood Wonder Fence - Chris Hancock: Mrs. Farrell requested a fence installation by me and my sole proprietorship. She did give me a check for the deposit amount of the fence and advised she would be in contact for the installation date. She did call me a couple of months later and advised of the flooding and stated that she still wanted the fence installed but that she couldn't do it until she got all the other stuff fixed, which I stated that I would be happy to install it for her at her convenience if she would just let me know. Several months went by and I did try to contact her numerous times to get an update with no answer. I was not contacted again by her regarding the cancellation. I did see her son, Todd, on a job site and he advised that she was having issues and was probably not going to have the fence installed. I told him that I have been unable to get in touch with her and I would like to speak with her. Todd stated he would have her give me a call and I never received one. I am no longer the owner of the company mentioned, as it was moved to an LLC. Her file was transferred to the LLC company in "open status" awaiting approval. I will be happy to return the $1600.00 payment but will not reimburse for "RESEARCH FOR TRYING TO FIND HIM" due to the fact that my phone number has remained the same number for over 20 years and not once was the payment requested to be returned by Mrs. Farrell. I would have had no problem returning it and closing the file if it was. For this reason, I will not reimburse the claim posting cost either.

I would be happy to complete a payment plan with full payment being completed by July 30, 2017 but would like to have documentation signed by both myself and Mrs. Farrell before any payments are made.
What By When How Much
1. Return of payment Jul 30, 2017 $1,600.00
Cash total : $1,600.00
