Claimant says:
"Mr Henney was my attorney for a matter that I hired him for ! He informed me by email that the party that I was going to court with could no longer file a judgement against me because he had settled everything with them ! I have the email to prove it ! About a month later they started garnishing my bank accounts and took out over 6000.00 dollars ! I called Mr Henney and asked him why they were taking money out of my account and all he could say is I dont know ! He failed to do his job and now he has put a judgement for the rest of the money that I owe him for his bill and I told him that I would pay him when he got my money back that they took from my account because he failed to do his job . I told him that i would not hire him unless he was able to help me because I did not want to pay for both ! I ended up paying for both anyway because he failed to do his job ! Now he thinks he can get away with it because he is an attorney ! I have given him about 5000 dollars already and he still wants over 3000 more !!! Where is the justice ?   • As a result of my legal work, we reached a settlement to dismiss the Todd County District Court case against your business, NO additional, district court judgment was entered against Hwy 27 Auto Salvage LLC by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) and potentially large MPCA costs and attorney fees from 2013 through July 2017 were waived! Also I completed your new permit and stormwater applications to continue your business, which were approved on 7/17/2017! The Minnesota Dept of Revenue and MPCA would not reduce or satisfy your PRE-EXISTING, CIVIL penalties for pollution violations and unpaid sales tax, which they can collect without further court judgment.
    Your first violation notification was in October 2013. I was retained in March 2017, seven days before the first court hearing and continued working in this matter through the end of July 2017. You have paid me only $3000. The judgment balance due from you for the remaining, unpaid legal fees is $3,111.12 plus judgment interest and collection costs. I will agreed to satisfy this judgment if you pay to me $2900 before 3/31/2017.

"I would suspect the claimant is a victim of the barrage of (IMO) highly unethical legal advertising that convinces people that a lawyer can let them walk away free and clear from anything - from a DUI to unpaid taxes. Unless there are some material facts missing from the response, it seems entirely reasonable to me."
